(End of Life Vehicle)

The 2000/53/EC Directive, concerns the disposal of waste deriving from vehicle scrappings (End of Life Vehicle).

The aim of this directive is to protect the environment, eliminating or limiting, for the manufacturing of vehicles, the use of hazardous substances (Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium-CrVI) and promoting the collection, the re-use and the disposal of materials deriving from end-of-life vehicle scrappings.

Lati S.p.A., as provided by the UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 certification, has banned the use of these elements and of their compounds long before the coming into force of the directive, establishing strict controls upon entrance of raw materials. Lati S.p.A. is at its customers' disposal, through the Customer Assistance service, for any further information.
