The LATIECO compounds arise from the need to reduce the environmental impact of technical compounds from fossil sources, using recycled polymers obtained from industrial waste or post-consumer waste. LATI develops these solutions ensuring the best compromise between performance and sustainability.
Also designed for critical applications, LATIECO is used for:
- UL certified flame-retardant grades
- products for additive manufacturing (3D printing)
- materials usable in railway environments (EN45545)
- aesthetic and structural components
- other special uses
LATIECO is available in two families:
LATIECO MR (Mechanical Recycled): with mechanically recycled base polymer
LATIECO CR (Chemical Recycled): with chemically recycled base polymer
Available polymers include PA6, PA66, PBT, PETg, PC etc.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, LATI does not perform recycling operations on post-industrial or post-consumer plastic waste. LATIECO compounds contain a variable amount of recycled raw materials, primarily base polymers recovered through chemical (CR) or mechanical (MR) recycling, obtained from selected and certified suppliers.
During mechanical recycling operations, both polymers and reinforcing fibers undergo treatments that somewhat reduce their integrity and performance. LATI’s R&D selects these secondary raw materials and introduces them into optimized formulas, designed to create LATIECO compounds whose overall characteristics differ only minimally from the standard fossil source versions.
Mechanical recycling (MR) involves the granulation of plastic waste through physical grinding and subsequent recovery in the new compound during extrusion, while chemical recycling consists of a depolymerization process of the waste and subsequent polymerization of new monomers, resulting in completely regenerated macromolecules that are practically identical in performance to the fossil source raw material.
The LATIECO offering includes materials obtained from the chemical and mechanical recycling of PA6, PA66, PBT, PC, and other base polymers. Reinforced materials with glass fiber for structural uses, thermally conductive, UL certified flame-retardant, for 3D printing, etc., are available.
Certainly! LATI has invested in its core business to offer various flame-retardant proposals developed on chemically and mechanically recycled polymers. The flame-resistant LATIECO materials are replicas of traditional fossil source proposals, available in modern halogen-free versions and have performances fully comparable to standard products, as recognized by UL and VDE flame performance certifications. Contact our technicians for further information.
LATI can provide declarations on recycled content and support environmental audits upon request.
LATI offers scientific evidence regarding the carbon footprint (Global Warming Potential) of the most produced compounds, including naturally the LATIECO family grades, with which it is possible to observe the significant reduction in CO2 equivalent emissions related to the use of recycled solutions.
