The LATI Open Day “LATI House – Discover the Future of Industry” successfully concluded two engaging days, highlighting LATI’s vision of factory digitalization. With impressive numbers, including 9 company tours and a roundtable on gender equality with distinguished guests, the event offered a unique experience in the world of plastics, science, and sustainability. CEO Michela Conterno emphasized the ongoing commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, confirming LATI’s role as a leading company.
LATI S.p.A., a prominent company in the thermoplastic compound sector, recently successfully concluded its anticipated Open Day, titled “LATI House – Discover the Future of Industry”. The event, spread over two days (November 25 and 26), saw the participation of approximately 300 people, including external stakeholders, LATI people, friends, and family.
With significant numbers, including 9 company tours, an engaging roundtable on gender equality, and an atmosphere of contagious energy, the Open Day provided a compelling experience in the world of plastics and the science behind it.
During the event, LATI presented its vision of factory digitalization, aiming to make it increasingly effective, sustainable, and people-oriented. LATI’s CEO, Michela Conterno, stated: “The Open Day was an extraordinary opportunity to share our passion for innovation and sustainability with our community.”
The guided tours allowed participants to explore behind the scenes of the production process, showing how LATI transforms science into tons of thermoplastic compounds for various industrial applications.
The roundtable on gender equality, promoted together with Italypost and OpenFactory, featured exceptional guests including Camilla Buttà, Sustainability, Diversity&Inclusion & Communication Manager at Vector S.p.A., Rita Querzé, journalist at Corriere della Sera and author of the book “Women and Work. Revolution in Six Moves” published by Post Editori, Mauro Vitiello, CEO of Copying Srl, Founder of Indaco Lab and President of the Varese Chamber of Commerce.
Furthermore, LATI highlighted recent certifications and recognitions, including the Great Place to Work certification and inclusion among the “Best Workplaces for Blue Collars 2023”. The company was awarded the title of “Champion” by Italypost and celebrated its third consecutive year of success, receiving the prestigious gold medal from EcoVadis for its constant commitment to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
LATI Open Day is part of the Open Factory project, an initiative promoted by ItalyPost, Touring Club Italiano, and L’Economia del Corriere della Sera, which aims to showcase to the public the cultural, social, and economic importance of companies that generate value for the country. The ninth edition took place on Saturday, November 25, and Sunday, November 26, 2023, both in person at the companies and via digital livestream.
