In the context of a market increasingly focused on sustainability and the efficiency of plastic materials, LATI strengthens its position by launching a new range of green and sustainable compounds with fire resistance. Among these, we are announcing LATIECO 66 MR H2 G/25-V0KB3, one of the first self-extinguishing compounds developed in our laboratories, made using recycled materials.
In addition to being certified as self-extinguishing according to UL standards, LATIECO 66 MR H2 G/25-V0KB3 has achieved excellent results in tests related to the RTI (Relative Thermal Index). The material is rated at 110°C for three different thicknesses: 0.75 mm, 1.5 mm, and 3 mm. This rating applies to both electrical and mechanical RTI, with and without impact. RTI indicates the maximum temperature at which the material can be designed for long-term use, ensuring high performance and reliability even in challenging operating conditions.
Composed largely of recycled polymeric materials, LATIECO 66 MR H2 G/25-V0KB3 reduces the consumption of virgin resources, contributes to lower CO2 emissions, and promotes the recovery of plastic waste. This makes it a material perfectly aligned with circular economy and green economy policies. In the plastics industry, where safety and durability are essential requirements, the integration of recycled components without compromising technical performance is a complex challenge, but one we have successfully addressed.
Thanks to its excellent properties, LATIECO 66 MR H2 G/25-V0KB3 is ideal for a wide range of applications, especially in the electrical and electronics sectors, where it is necessary to combine thermal resistance and fire safety. The material, which maintains UL-94 V0 flame resistance levels of the standard product, perfectly meets the needs of components exposed to high temperatures, ensuring maximum dimensional stability and mechanical properties.
The new LATIECO range not only offers solid technical performance but also integrates a strong commitment to sustainability, a feature increasingly demanded by global markets. The use of UL-certified materials containing recycled components allows companies to meet regulatory and environmental requirements, promoting more responsible production.
