One of these is the immediate visual identification of <strong>plastic components intended for high voltage management<\/strong>, which must be colored in a specific shade of orange.<\/p>\n<p>However, prolonged exposure to <strong>high temperatures<\/strong> and <strong>adverse environmental conditions<\/strong> can cause color shifting, compromising not only the component&#8217;s aesthetics but also its risk signaling function. For this reason, <strong>thermal color stabilization<\/strong> in technical compounds represents a crucial challenge.<\/p>\n<h2>LATI Innovations for the Thermal Stabilization of Engineering Polymers<\/h2>\n<p>During 2024, <strong>LATI developed<\/strong> an advanced formulation of <strong>LATAMID 66 H2 G\/25-V0HF1<\/strong>, a <strong>PA66 reinforced with 25% glass fiber<\/strong>, certified <strong>UL94 V0<\/strong> for flame retardancy and characterized by a <strong>reduced environmental impact<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThis new version, now available in orange, has passed severe thermal aging tests, demonstrating remarkable <strong>resistance to color shifting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>DeltaE \u2264 5 after 168 hours of exposure at 100\u00b0C<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This solution, named <strong>OR:4349<\/strong>, complements the <strong>RAL 2001<\/strong> version, already validated for exposures exceeding <strong>1000 hours at 100\u00b0C.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lambda.lati.com\/Material\/latamid-66-h2-g-25-v0hf1?culture=it-IT&amp;ui-culture=it-IT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">[Read the technical data sheet and molding characteristics of LATAMID 66 H2 G\/25-V0HF1]<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Diversification of the Offer for Specific Needs<\/h2>\n<p>The different <strong>mechanical, thermal, and environmental<\/strong> requirements in the <strong>e-mobility<\/strong> sector demand a range of <strong>customized compounds<\/strong> for power lines. Among the main objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Moisture resistance<\/strong>, to minimize absorption and reduction of mechanical properties.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Greater stability under static and dynamic stresses<\/strong>, even in critical thermal conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To meet these requirements, <strong>LATI has developed heat-stabilized orange engineering polymers<\/strong>, based on different <strong>polymer matrices:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PBT reinforced with 30% glass fiber<\/strong>, available in a standard or <strong>UL94-V0 HF flame retardant<\/strong> version (halogen and red phosphorus-free). The <strong>LATER 4 G\/30-V0HF1<\/strong> showed acceptable color shifting after <strong>1000 hours of exposure at both 125\u00b0C and 150\u00b0C.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>PA9T (Aromatic Polyamide) flame retardant and glass fiber reinforced<\/strong>, ideal for <strong>extreme temperatures<\/strong>, now available in orange.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Innovation in the
