It continuously monitors the electrical signal on the main line, identifying the unique patterns that indicate the presence of an arc fault. Upon detection, the device immediately opens the circuit, effectively preventing the arc from becoming a fire hazard. This emphasizes the importance of perfect device operation, ensuring both environmental responsibility and uncompromised safety in electrical installations.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>Hager&#8217;s Long-Term Commitment to Decarbonization<\/h2>\n\n<p>For over 70 years, Hager Group has been a leading provider of solutions and services for electrical installations in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Its range of solutions and services spans from power distribution to cable management and from security systems to building automation. Recognizing its crucial role in shaping a more sustainable future, the company is committed to creating a positive impact by decarbonizing both its operations and its products. Hager Group aims to reduce its direct CO\u2082 emissions (Scope 1 &amp; 2) by 50% and Scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030, in line with Science-Based Targets.   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>LATIECO: High-Performance Recycled Polymers<\/h2>\n\n<p>For this reason, Hager&#8217;s R&amp;D experts opted for LATI&#8217;s new flame-retardant and reinforced compounds belonging to the LATIECO product family. LATIECO is a family of materials that draws inspiration from the most successful compounds in the LATI portfolio, from structural to flame-retardant, from self-lubricating to conductive; working with recycled polymers and other recycled raw materials, LATI is able to build a sustainable alternative to traditional materials while maintaining most of the original performance. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>LATIECO Compounds for Hager&#8217;s AFDDs<\/h2>\n\n<p>In this specific case, Hager&#8217;s choice fell on LATIECO 66 MR H2 G\/25-V0HF1, a compound containing a significant portion of the PA66 base polymer obtained from mechanical recycling of post-industrial waste. The polymer is then reinforced with 25% glass fiber and made flame-retardant without the use of halogens or red phosphorus. This is obviously a completely PFAS-free formulation.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>Performance and Carbon Footprint Reduction<\/h2>\n\n<p>The material selected by Hager maintains all the most important properties of the original grade obtained from fossil sources: flame-retardant behavior and GWFI values of 960\u00b0C at 1 and 2 mm, as well as excellent resistance to tracking currents with a tracking index of 600 V. The excellent flame performance and mechanical behavior convinced Hager designers to introduce LATIECO in the AFDD series. With the LATIECO 66 MR H2 G\/25-V0HF1 version chosen by Hager, the carbon footprint related to the plastic material used is reduced by approximately 20% compared to the analogous fossil-based compound, LATAMID 66 H2 G\/25-V0HF1. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hager Group has decided to further improve the sustainability of its offering by creating a new range of devices whose plastic parts are now made with recycled polymers.
