Ces mat\u00e9riaux, m\u00eame lorsqu&rsquo;ils sont renforc\u00e9s de fibres de verre ou de carbone, conservent de faibles coefficients de frottement statique et dynamique. Les performances tribologiques du PTFE ont fait de ces solutions autolubrifiantes des mat\u00e9riaux id\u00e9aux pour les technologies avanc\u00e9es n\u00e9cessitant de ma\u00eetriser les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes n\u00e9fastes li\u00e9s au frottement et \u00e0 l&rsquo;usure.   <\/p>\n<h2>Probl\u00e8mes et risques associ\u00e9s aux compounds autolubrifiants contenant du PTFE<\/h2>\n<p>L&rsquo;utilisation de compounds autolubrifiants contenant du PTFE pr\u00e9sente toutefois certains inconv\u00e9nients. Parmi ceux-ci figurent la formation de d\u00e9p\u00f4ts sur les moules, la corrosion des \u00e9quipements et les fum\u00e9es dangereuses produites par la d\u00e9gradation thermique potentielle du polym\u00e8re fluor\u00e9. De plus, la pr\u00e9sence de mol\u00e9cules fluor\u00e9es, soumises \u00e0 des r\u00e9glementations de plus en plus strictes en raison des risques environnementaux li\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9limination des produits manufactur\u00e9s, repr\u00e9sente un probl\u00e8me suppl\u00e9mentaire. Le remplacement du PTFE constitue donc une question d&rsquo;une grande actualit\u00e9.    <\/p>\n<h2>LATI : innovation avec LATILUB, l&rsquo;alternative au PTFE<\/h2>\n<p>LATI a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une famille de compounds thermoplastiques autolubrifiants appartenant au groupe LATILUB, qui garantit d&rsquo;excellentes performances tribologiques sans avoir recours \u00e0 l&rsquo;utilisation de polym\u00e8res fluor\u00e9s. L&rsquo;UHMWPE, une polyol\u00e9fine de poids mol\u00e9culaire extr\u00eamement \u00e9lev\u00e9 connue pour sa r\u00e9sistance extr\u00eame \u00e0 l&rsquo;abrasion, a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisi comme premi\u00e8re alternative. Les r\u00e9sultats obtenus sont int\u00e9ressants, m\u00eame dans les formulations renforc\u00e9es de fibres de verre. L&rsquo;UHMWPE, dispers\u00e9 dans des matrices amorphes ou semi-cristallines, offre des coefficients de frottement comparables \u00e0 ceux du PTFE, avec des temps de rodage similaires. L&rsquo;usure abrasive et adh\u00e9sive est \u00e9galement consid\u00e9rablement r\u00e9duite. D&rsquo;un point de vue m\u00e9canique, aucune diff\u00e9rence significative n&rsquo;est constat\u00e9e, tant en pr\u00e9sence de charges statiques que de contraintes impulsionnelles. De plus, la densit\u00e9 inf\u00e9rieure par rapport au PTFE rend ces solutions \u00e9conomiquement avantageuses. Les LATILUB avec UHMWPE sont disponibles en versions renforc\u00e9es et non renforc\u00e9es, et peuvent inclure des syst\u00e8mes autolubrifiants suppl\u00e9mentaires tels que l&rsquo;huile de
