A new professional video tells the story of how GANAL’s application expertise and LATI’s material know-how come together to support safer and more durable solutions for poultry and food applications.
In food and poultry applications, every component matters.
This is the starting point of the new professional video created with GANAL POULTRY S.L., a company specialized in engineering solutions for the poultry and food sectors. Filmed at GANAL, the video tells the story of a concrete collaboration between GANAL’s application expertise and LATI’s know-how in high-performance thermoplastic materials.
At the centre of the project is a very specific application need: identifying a material suitable for food conveyor-related use, able to combine mechanical performance with the additional benefit of detectability.
For LATI, this collaboration is a meaningful example of how technical support, material selection and customer proximity can contribute to the development of reliable solutions for demanding production environments.
Why detectable materials matter in food conveyor applications
In food conveyor-related applications, materials are exposed to complex and repeated stresses. They must perform under continuous mechanical load, frequent washing cycles and contact with cleaning and sanitizing agents, while also supporting food safety requirements.
In this context, detectable materials can play an important role. Their purpose is not only linked to the material itself, but to the wider needs of the application: supporting process safety, quality control and risk reduction in food-related environments.
However, detectability alone is not enough.
For applications such as those developed by GANAL, the selected material must also provide the right balance of wear resistance, good sliding behaviour, chemical resistance, thermal stability and suitability for food-contact environments.
This is why material selection becomes a key part of the project. It is not a secondary technical detail, but a decision that can affect reliability, durability and the performance of the final solution over time.
A collaboration based on application needs
From GANAL’s perspective, the project started from real operating conditions and specific performance expectations.
As explained in the video by Sarah Quesada, CMO – Marketing & Communication at GANAL POULTRY S.L., every component can influence the overall performance of the line. For this reason, the choice of material becomes part of a broader commitment to efficiency, reliability and safety.
GANAL brought to the project its deep understanding of poultry and food applications, where products must perform in demanding environments and respond to the practical needs of customers.
LATI contributed with its material portfolio and technical support, helping identify a solution aligned with the application requirements.
What GANAL valued was not only the availability of a suitable material, but LATI’s ability to understand the application and support the selection process.
Detectability as part of a wider technical balance
The technical evaluation behind the collaboration required looking at several aspects together.
As highlighted by Maria Agnese Zappa, Technical Service & Certification Engineer at LATI Industria Termoplastici S.p.A., detectability is important, but it is only one part of the equation.
A material designed for food conveyor-related use must also offer performance over time. It must support wear resistance, sliding behaviour, chemical resistance to cleaning and sanitizing agents, thermal stability and suitability for the intended environment.
This is where LATI’s technical expertise becomes valuable: connecting material properties with the real conditions of use.
The goal is not simply to provide a product, but to support the customer in identifying the most suitable solution for the application.
The value of responsiveness and technical dialogue
The video also highlights another important aspect of the collaboration: the role of relationship and responsiveness.
For Rolando Mancilla, Account Manager at LATI Industria Termoplastici S.p.A., the project was built from the beginning on open dialogue and close cooperation with GANAL.
Understanding the customer’s operating conditions, expectations and priorities made it possible to respond efficiently to a specific need. The availability of the material in stock also helped support the project in a short time.
But speed was only one part of the value.
The real difference was the approach: working together to find the right fit for the application, rather than simply offering a material.
A video about materials, people and trust
The GANAL & LATI video is more than a product story.
It is a story about how industrial collaboration works when different areas of expertise come together: application knowledge, material science, technical service, customer proximity and communication.
It shows how the right material choice can support the quality and reliability of the final solution, while also contributing to broader goals such as process safety, durability, animal welfare and long-term value for customers investing in poultry facility solutions.
For LATI, this project confirms the importance of being close to customers not only through products, but through technical dialogue and application understanding.
For GANAL, it reflects the value of working with partners able to contribute to the performance, reliability and durability of its solutions.
Looking ahead
In poultry and food applications, attention to safety, reliability and performance will continue to grow.
Detectable materials, when combined with the right mechanical, chemical and thermal properties, can support companies in reducing risk, improving quality control and maintaining performance in demanding production environments.
The collaboration between GANAL and LATI shows how these results can be achieved through a practical and concrete approach: listening to the application, understanding the technical requirements and working together to identify the right material solution.
